You can send money for the T-shirts to my email address at paypal.com

jcbsn_srh@yahoo.com

include the size of the shirt you want and also if you want the girls or guys version of the shirts.

it is a white t-shirt with black print.

girls shirt front: I love my vagina
guys shirt front: I support your vagina
both backs: I am wearing this to support sexual awareness, gender equality, women's rights, and freedom of speech.

because of shipping and everything the total cost of the shirts will be 10 dollars.

due to the quantity of shirts being made at once, it will probably take about 2-3 weeks before they come to you.

if you want one, order sooner rather than later, please within one week. thanks!!!

Wow...I applaud your efforts. I was never this active socially (and by that I mean in the world around oneself...) while in high school. However, thanks for letting me be a small part of it...:) I look forward to receiving my shirt...

You can't get shirts made and shipped for that much less than $7 or $8.. She's not pulling in much.

Then, you add in PayPal fees, and she's making less. She might get a buck or two for the effort of packaging (large envelope costs money) and shipping (driving to the post office or FedEx.)

She's not exactly pulling in the big bucks.

I am not going to be making any money off of the shirts. Any left over money will either go to printing informational packets about the cause or else to the Women's Resource Center in Winona.

Are the gender limits strictly enforced? I wouldn't mind an "I love my vagina" tshirt.

An "i love my cock" with pictures is clearly a differenet matter. To equate the two shows a complete lack of understanding of the message and intent of the whole ordeal.

Men aren't really fighting for penis rights; there aren't laws restricting the care of and what medical actions one can perform on their penis. Men haven't been ostricized, belittled, and held subserviant due to their "possetion" of penises. To the contrary, it's been a mostly unspoken key to priviledge to have a penis.

Keep in mind, women are still held as inferior in the law books. Case in point, there is still no "equal rights ammendment" stating that women and men are equally rights deserving beings. Such an ammendment has been petitioned for for years, since the beginnings of the feminist movement. It's come close, but has yet to be accepted. Especially with the current facist Bush regime, women's rights are being ripped away as fast as they can. Sneaky and underhanded tactics are being employed to make Roe V. Wade as weak as possible, with an end goal of widdling it down to uselessness. Interesting side note, there is a direct correlation to the recent drops in crime, coming ~18 years after the inseption of legalized abortion laws. A gentlemen by the name of Steven Levitt wrote a book entitled "Freakonomics" which outlines evidence to support the claim.

In closing, the "I love my vagina" t-shirt and button campaign is succeding in reaching it's goal: to promote discussion about the rights and plights of women. I applaud the work being done here, it's absolutely beautiful to see a diligent activist/revolutionary taking a stand.

Oh, and an I love my Vagina button and T-shirts is going to fix all that?
Yay, how simple, why didn't anyone think of doing this sooner.

The FBI still defines Forcible Rape as: "The carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will". How's that for discrimination?

"Forcible Rape" is redundant. ALL rape is forced, with of course, the exception of role play type sex acts between CONSENTING persons.

Just spreading joy and good cheer, naturally.

My point is, sadly enough, there are a lot of guys out there that don't seem to understand that if you have to incapacitate a woman to "have sex", she's not playing hard to get, she doesn't want it, and you're raping her.

Rico, EXACTLY! Men aren't sexually and violently oppressed in our society because of their anatomy.

Not to mention an "I love my cock" shirt is NOT anatomically correct, so yes, I find 'cock' offensive because it is derogatory.

I have no issue with an "I love my penis" shirt, though. If more men respected their bodies and saw them as the wonderful gift they are, instead of a weapon used against women because of men's insecurities and fears, what a wonderful world this would be.

Carrie, I am putting in an order for at least 6 today and will spread the news on the blogs and newsgroups I belong to. Great going!

Hey Carrie, you don't know me but I found your LiveJournal via BoingBoing. I wish I could afford to order a t-shirt, but I wanted to at least let you know that I really support your cause. Having to go against the system is challenging and intimidating, but the issues you're fighting over are important and worth it. I hope things work out for you, you're doing an amazing job!

The more they stay the same.
I went to WSHS years ago (or I guess now they got rid of "senior," so it's just WHS) and was a "good student" who took crap from the administration on more than one occasion for things that were free-speech related. Same foot, different administration's dungpile. However, I would never have had the ovaries to do what you're doing -- you're amazing. Let me also say that I knew you as a young child -- way to grow the heck up, girl! For once I'm proud to be a Winonan. Keep fighting -- they're obviously scared, and I can't remember now where I read this, but didn't they say they're afraid the students will revolt and "riot" if the shirts are worn? Riot on.
